At NVS MORGAN'S we chose our mares carefully for specific traits and characteristics that we feel will compliment our stallion. A good disposition is an absolute must, since all the good looks and ability are useless without a good mind. Good conformation, bone and substance are important as-well as athletic ability. We are careful about bloodlines, sticking to foundation Morgan stock. Here are some of our brood mares and foals.

Wintergreen Shakoha ( Wintergreen Shaman X Kerry B Spangled ) 2008 Chestnut filly that I recently received from Ann Taylor who was the 2007 American Morgan Horse Breeder of the Year. This filly will be World Futurity Nominated and you will see her in the show ring in the near future. You can see more of Ann Taylor's Morgans at www.woodlandstallion.com.

(raf) NVS The Golden Rule ( NVS MIDAS X Badlands
Shenandoah )palomino colt, foaled April 2007. This colt is no ordinary palomino
colt. "Sport" has all the makings of a top Morgan cow horse -the best
disposition, muscular build and bloodlines to prove it. His sire is a
multi-national champion and his dam has the best of Working Western blood. If
you are interested in the performance arena, "Sport" will be your
winner or put him to work at home.
NVS Halcon de Oro,"Hawk",
palomino colt foaled 2/13/06. Super colt! "Hawk", is friendly and bold
with tons of charisma. He has one of the prettiest faces we've seen on a Morgan.
Everyone that has met his has been captivated by his charm. This is the first
time in nine years I thought a colt should be kept a stallion. "Hawk",
will be a dark palomino with white mane and tail! Probably carries a
flaxen gene as well as the cremello gene.
NVS Zoe, buckskin filly foaled 2/9/06. ( NVS MIDAS X) Sunsplash Ballerina ). A feminine version of her sire MIDAS. Very friendly and sweet, correct conformation with a pretty face and doe eyes. This girl is a very special Morgan with tons of potential. Congratulations to Gloria Cross of Yardley, PA. on her purchase of NVS Zoe.
NVS Linda Jane (on far right)
NVS LINDA JANE-( NVS Kid Domino X Misty Ridge Mellanie ) This Chestnut mare is an eye-catcher with a large eye and perfectly chiseled head that says Morgan elegance. She is most likely the best looking mare we own, she is usually the first one folks notice. She has exceptionally good bone and substance on a wonderfully correct frame. She is not just pretty but has fluid movement and catty athletic moves. She is a combination of the best of Western Working lines with horses like Domino Joe, Easter Vermont, Pecos and Muscleman on her papers. Also a small percentage of the best of Lippit lines as well. This was a well thought out breeding that surpassed our expectations. We have plans for her as a performance horse as-well as a brood mare.
Apple Pi Satin Lady
APPLE PI SATIN LADY - "Lady" is finished producing foals but her career is not over. Lady is now a therapy horse for Ride to Walk. Ride to Walk is a therapeutic riding program for disabled children. To learn more about Ride to Walk visit there website - www.ridetowalk.org. or call them at 916-434-0693.

Shanandoah, Bay Mare. Mary Hazelwood of Richwood Morgans was kind enough to let us lease this fine mare. I am very familiar with this mares bloodlines her sire is Triple S Gold Buck and dam is Apple Pi Miss Tish (Sunup Phaon X Miss Cavalier). Shanandoah is very athletic with excellent structure. We are very excited to see her new foal which is due April 2007.
Sunsplash Ballernia
Sunsplash Ballernia, May 30, 1998, Buckskin mare. Thanks to Michelle Frazier of Eagle Point, OR. we have the opportunity to lease this large golden buckskin mare. “Munchie” is a premium broodmare with a heart and color or gold. This mare is beautiful in both movement and conformation. She also has excellent manners. We have plans to breed Munchie to Midas to reproduce last years golden cross.
