NVS MIDAS is our buckskin Morgan stallion that is truly one of a kind for more than one reason. MIDAS has a golden pedigree filled with rich Morgan history. MIDAS’ sire is the late Sunup Neptune (Sunup Shenandoah X Goldie Zephyr) ranked #1 stallion of the year 1995 by the Morgan Horse Registry. MIDAS’s dam, was my top brood mare and in her bloodlines run famous Morgan’s such as Dapper Dan, Antman, Green Meads Richmond and California King. MIDAS’ pedigree stands for itself.

MIDAS is not only bred well but is as gentle as a kitten. His manners and disposition are a delight to work with. He has perfect ground manners and has no problem being ridden in a group of mares and remaining a gentlemen. We’ve seen him playing gently with his offspring; even letting them jump on his back. He has consistently past this wonderful disposition on to his get.

MIDAS is extremely intelligent. We have worked with Samantha March of March Performance Horses in Lincoln and have had great accomplishments in Western Pleasure, Trail and built a wonderful foundation for reining. We have been fortunate to find Martin Padilla who has spent many hours teaching MIDAS and I reining with the help of Mike Boyle and Boyle Performance Horses. We have taken great strides in reining and plan to continue to grown and mature in this great sport.   MIDAS  is a true representative of the Morgan breed when it comes to versatility so we will also be exploring the English arenas in the future. He has taken everything in stride and has been a joy to work with.  In the past we  worked on driving MIDAS and when hitched to a cart, he took to it like a natural driving horse. Midas never ceases to amaze us!

MIDAS has also produced consistently fine foals that are stamped with his wonderful disposition, beautiful head, conformation, type and color.  For some pictures of MIDAS' foals see our MIDAS' offspring page. Currently MIDAS has 33 foals with 70% of them being colorful.

If you can’t tell by now, MIDAS is the love of our lives. He is just one of those horses that come around once in a lifetime that makes life so special.

MIDAS will be participating in many shows and events this year. You are always invited for a personal visit.

MIDAS has won too many blue ribbons to mention at local and schooling shows but here is a list of some of the larger and "A" rated shows he's done well at.
