Tessi & Roni at the Morgan Sport Horse Classic '08
Dear Lisa, It is so good to have our filly, Tessi, back after her month in "summer camp" at your ranch. I wanted to let you know how happy Hank and I are with the care and experience Tessi had while in your care. Her one month of "summer camp" at your ranch achieved all the goals we hoped it would. As I told you when I brought her to your place, I wanted to improve her social skills, expand her range of experiences and prepare her for pulling a cart. She achieved all this and more.
She was able
to expand her social skills safely and effectively in the company of
another youngester (Hawk) and an older mare (Goldie). It was great that
she had someone above her in the pecking order and someone she could be the
"boss" of (a new experience for her). She even was able to
become desensitized to llamas! You helped me prep her for the Morgan
Sporthorse Classic by improving her responses in halter, and Tessi was able to
excel, taking first place for fillies two years and under with me showing her!
Tessi is now able to pull poles in harness with a steadiness, confidence and
enjoyment that is delightful to me. We'll be hooking her up to a cart
before we know it! I am looking forward to building on the work you have
done and we are looking forward to our weekly lessons with you.
Thank you for the care and heart you put into your training as well as your
good communication and concern.
